Aims & Objectives
Aims
The purpose of the group is to provide a forum for service users and carers to raise issues of interest and concern directly with staff working in the relevant local authority and health services or voluntary sector and health services or voluntary sector, and to work together to improve services for HIV service users and carers.
Objectives
- To develop a shared understanding and vision of quality service and to work together towards achievement.
- To input into commissioning of new services.
- To review existing services and support change.
- To hear users' and carers' views (whether they attend the group or not) and to act upon these.
- To lobby for improvement.
- To support applications for funding if appropriate.
