HIV/AIDS
Tagadere
Tagadere, formerly known as Positive Attitude, is a voluntary sector self-help/support group for people affected by HIV and AIDS, their partners, relatives, carers and friends, living in the Nottinghamshire area.
They don't have "members" - it's about people helping others in a similar situation.
Their aims are to provide the following to anyone affected, regardless of age, origin, sexuality or lifestyle:
- To help people improve the quality of their lives by sharing experiences and knowledge, in order that they can make informed decisions about their life and health.
- To offer confidential emotional support and practical advice to anyone affected.
- To collect the views and concerns of local positive people and represent them to get improvements in the services provided by the Nottingham Positive Care Team, clinics and other local statutory service providers.
Their website provides information about local services and links to national sources of advice on HIV and other sexual health issues. It also has news to keep you up-to-date with current issues and events relating to local HIV services.
