Policy Guidance on Integrating HIV Health and Social Care Services (2002)
The development of HIV services in many parts of the UK has been characterised by the separate development of health and social care services. This has meant that in many areas two sets of assessments have to be carried out, and that people in need have to access at least two different care systems in order to obtain the services which they require.
The purpose of this report is to set out potential ways of improving the level of integration between health and social care services.
