Carers Focus Group
The partnership development team has been asked to do some work by NHS Nottingham City to gather the views of certain groups of carers on respite issues. They are conducting a study into the needs of unpaid carers in order to establish priorities of the types of services that could be made available to provide effective breaks.
The partnership development team's focus groups will be carers of people with:
- Physical and/or Sensory Impairments
- Substance Misuse Issues
- HIV/AIDS
We will be adopting two principal techniques for gathering this information. Firstly we are sending the attached questionnaire and request that this be distributed to any carers you feel may be able and happy to contribute. Due to the tight time constraints we have to submit the report, we will need these back by Tuesday July 27th at the latest.
We will also be holding focus groups on 27th July 2010 at a city centre venue and Humanity House. The focus groups will be as follows:
Focus groups at the New Mechanics Building, 3 North Sherwood Street, Nottingham, NG1 4EZ
- 10:00 - 11:30 - Carers of people with substance misuse issues
- 11:45 - 13:15 - Carers of people with physical and/or sensory impairments.
Focus group at Humanity House, Colliers Way, Phoenix Park, Nottingham, NG8 6AT
- 15:00 - 16:00 - Carers of people living with HIV/AIDS
We will then compile all of the responses in a report and submit it to NHS Nottingham City.
We're looking for carers to attend this focus group and we'd really appreciate your help to do this, spread the message and please get back to us by Tuesday 20th July.
