Mental Capacity Act 2005 deprivation of liberty safeguards consultation
This consultation relates to the deprivation of liberty safeguards that have been introduced into the Mental Capacity Act 2005 by the Mental Health Act 2007. The safeguards are planned to come into force on 1 October 2008.
The consultation covers:
- Code of Practice guidance relating to the safeguards.
- The use of regulation-making powers included in the safeguards legislation.
The consultation will run until 02 December 2007.
