Nottingham Elders' Forum

 

 

 

Forum Objectives

 

 

These include:

 

  • An opportunity to celebrate and share the contribution older people bring to the life of the city.

    •  

  • Harnessing the experience of older people and allowing them to share their views, raise concerns, scrutinise policies and services, and enable their voice to be heard in the planning and provision of services and facilities.

    •  

  • Networking and communicating across the diverse network of older people and groups through open meetings, newsletters and surveys etc.

    •  

  • Coordinating the views of local older people’s organisations on issues of common concern for feeding back to the council and primary care trust.

    •  

  • Providing a recognised forum for statutory agencies to engage with older people.
