- Participating in Nottinghamshire County Social Services Planning of Visual Impairment services
- Acting as consultants to inform the County Team for Visual Impairment Review process

- Influencing both voluntary and statutory service provision
- Acting as a support network for the group members and other groups
- Highlighting issues in the wider community
- Advising NET on accessibility and seats on trams
